What we build

Custom home construction is our focus. Every project starts with your land, your priorities and a realistic plan.

Own land already, or still looking? We help you evaluate a property and plan the home around it — you don't need a lot to start the conversation.

We also take on a limited number of luxury renovations for existing homes.

Owner-managed

You work directly with Mark Golden — not a chain of project managers.

Building a custom home is a major investment. You should know who is responsible for it, how decisions are being made and what is happening at every stage. At Golden Homes, that person is Mark. He helps refine your plans, visits the job site throughout construction and walks the finished home with you.

Homeowners consistently mention the same things: he listens, suggests improvements without pushing, and stays reachable — even late in the evening when that is what works for your family.

Building in Bryan, College Station and the Brazos Valley

Our work is focused here — in established neighborhoods, newer subdivisions and on rural acreage outside town. Building in the Brazos Valley means planning for local soil, drainage, Texas heat and how a home sits on its land, and that local knowledge shapes every plan we draw up.

Questions homeowners ask first

Don't see yours? Call (979) 255-1749 and ask Mark directly.

Do I need to own land before I contact you?
No. Whether you already own land, are looking at a property or haven't started searching, we can help you understand what to look for and plan the home around the site.
What's the difference between custom and semi-custom?
A fully custom home is designed from the ground up for you. A semi-custom home starts with a proven plan that we personalize — layout changes, finishes and details — which usually means fewer design decisions to make.
Who manages my build day to day?
Mark Golden. Golden Homes is owner-managed, so you have a direct point of contact instead of passing decisions through layers of management.
Can I bring my own plans?
Yes. We review existing plans for layout, flow and everyday livability, and suggest changes before you commit to building.
How much does a custom home cost?
It depends on size, finishes, site work and the land itself, so we don't quote a per-square-foot number up front. During planning you receive a detailed breakdown covering design, materials, labor and project management.
Can I make changes during construction?
Yes, though changes can affect the schedule and budget. We explain the impact of any change clearly before it happens.
